Collected in the Fruitville Member (Petuch Unit 4, Black Layer) of the Tamiami Formation in 2020.Aggregates Pit, Tampa Bay Area, Hillsborough County, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 2.58-3.0 M.Y.A. Collector P#2 Identified by Melanie Briskin -Collector and true locality will be divulged in the final data of this fossil Cypraea. A really nice choice specimen found often with black layer coloration.
