Collected in the Fruitville Member (Petuch Unit 2, Uppermost Bed) of the Tamiami Formation in 2020. Aggregates Pit, Tampa Bay Area, Hillsborough County, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 2.6-2.8 M.Y.A. Collector S#1 -Collector and true locality will be divulged in the final data on this fossil melongena. This shell is high quality for the discriminating collector and is very spinous with pure “Black Coloring”. A treasure in any collection! Identified by Melanie Briskin.
