An Ultra-Ultra-Rare F+/F++ Phyllonotus eversoni 116mm w/o D' Attilio, B. W. Myers & Shasky 1987. Collected in tangle nets in 66-90 meters in the 1980’s. Chatham Bay, Cocos Islands, Costa Rica. The shell has some Sub-Adult features, but most features are Adult. Chip on siphonal canal is the only minor flaw Collected with permission given to research vessels. Fishery in this area is closed to collection. One of the rarest shells of the family Muricidae. Only 20 are supposedly known to exist and most exist in research or museum collections!!!
