Carolinapecten urbannaensis 1 3/4” or 47.21mm. Mansfield 1929-Extinct Collected in the Port Charlotte Member of the Bayshore Formation in 2007 Burnt Store Pit, Cape Coral, Florida. Messinian Miocene 5.3-7.3 M.Y.A. Coll: Melanie Briskin Shell cemented together by matrix but complete. A few nicks are usual. This is a really nice specimen.

Strombus evergladesensis 4 1/8” or 105.08mm. Petuch, 1991-Extinct Giant Rare Collected in the Belle Glade of the Bermont Formation on 10/16/16 Aggregates Pit, Bonita Springs, Florida. Calabrian Pleistocene 78,000-400,000 Years Old. This is a supergiant and is rarely offered so large.

Turbo dominicensis 1 1/8” or 28.53mm. Gabb1873-Extinct Collected in the Pinecrest Member of the Tamiami Formation on 04/16/16 SMR Aggregates Pit, Sarasota, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene.3.0-3.6 M.Y.A. Quite rare and has the normal chips on the lip.

An NG/Gem Cribrarula esontropia francescoi 17.65mm. Lorenz 2002 Collected by diver under coral at 6-7 meters in 2009 Fort Dauphin, Madagascar.

Lindaconus streami 2 1/8” or 52.92mm. Petuch, 1994-Extinct Collected in the Fruitville Member (Petuch Unit 3) of the Tamiami Formation in the 1980’s Apac Pit, Sarasota, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 2.6-3.0 M.Y.A. Lip has usual chips. Markings visible to the eye. spire eroded as usual.

Pleioptygma lindae 2 5/8” or 66.69mm. Petuch, 1991 Extinct “Rare” Collected in the Pinecrest Member (Petuch Unit 7) of the Tamiami Formation in 2020.Aggregates Pit, Tampa Bay Area, Hillsborough County, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 3.0-3.4 M.Y.A. Collector P#2 Identified by Melanie Briskin -Collector and true locality will be divulged in the final data of this fossil Pleioptygma. Very Rare with the normal rough lip.   

Schilderia flavicula 1” or 25.11mm. Lamarck, 1810-Extinct Collected in the Yellow medium sand of Middle Pliocene age or Piacenzian-Zanclean Pliocene 3.6-4.2. M.Y.A. Pietrafitta around the village of Bibbiano 4 km SW of Poggibonsi, Tuscany Italy. Minor crack but overall nice condition.

An F+ Spondylus regius 3 7/8” or 98.85mm. Linne, 1758 Collected in Tangle Nets at 70-80 meters in 1990’s Olango Island, Cebu, Philippines. Collector: Local Fishermen Collection of GH. Nice small specimen.   

An F+/Near F++Vexillum citrinum 2 3/4” or 70.62mm. Sowerby, 1828-Magnificent.Obtained from Local Fishermen from Unknown depth in the 2000’s. Toliara, Madagascar.   

Chicoreus cichoreum 4 7/8” or 125.29mm. Gmelin, 1791 Fishermen Trawling at 25-30 meters in 2000. Negros Island, Philippines

Sorry these always have some chips in the valves but they are extremely rare.
