Gradiconus parkeri 1” or 24.58mm. Richards & Harbison, 1947-Extinct Collected in the Ft Denaud Member of the Caloosahatchee Formation in 2004 Brantley Pit, Desoto County, Arcadia, Florida. Gelasian Pleistocene 2.2-2.4 M.Y.A. Collected and identified by: Melanie Briskin This specimen shows the spots under UV light. Really nice example with minor usual lip chips but way above average for the species.   

An F+/Near F++ Umbilia hesitata beddomei 3 3/8” or 82.49mm. Schilder, 1930.Trawled at 35-50 meters on sand and rock bottom in October,1980.  Eden, N.S.W. Australia. A nice specimen with sand trapped undewr the enamel which is common to this species.   

Periglypta tamiamiensis 4" or 102.71mm. Olsson & Petit. 1964-Extinct Collected in the Ochopee Member of the Tamiami Formation on 09/02/18 Aggregates Pit, Bonita Springs, Florida. A Near-Gem to Gem Cribrarula gaskoini fischeri 15.34mm. Vayssiere, 1910 Found by scuba diver at 40’ on coral plate feeding. Oahu, Hawaii. A must have variant believed to be the male of the species.

Seminoleconus trippae 1 7/8” or 48.65mm. Petuch, 1991- Extint “Freak” Collected in the Pinecrest Member of the Tamiami Formation on 04/16/16 SMR Aggregates, Sarasota, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 3.0-3.6 M.Y.A. This shell is a rare freak spired specimen! The specimen also has visible spots!!

An F++Siratus ciboney 1 5/8” or 40.19mm. Clench & Farfante, 1945-Superb.Trawled at 140-160 meters in 2000’s by local fishermen.Port-Louis, Guadeloupe, Lee Ward Islands, Lesser Antilles, Caribbean. This is another wonderful specimen.

A very rare shell in great condition.

Chicoreus stephensae 2” or 51.85mm. Petuch, 1994.-Superb “Dwarf”Collected in the Pinecrest Member (Petuch Unit 7) of the Tamiami Formation in the 1980’s Apac Pit, Sarasota County, Sarasota, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 3.0-3.4 M.Y.A. Collector: Melanie Briskin. This is the true specimen as it only has 5 varices on the main body whorl.
