Under UV light you can really see the pattern and some with the naked eye. This is a choice fossil.   

An F++Chicoreus (Triplex) virgineus 3 ½” or 86.50mm. Roding, 1798’”Dark”Collected by a diver on reef rubble at 10-15 meters in 1990.Manar, Sri Lanka. This darker color is much rarer. Not offered from Sri Lanka in this dark form as much anymore.
