17518 An F+/F++ Sinistrofulgur sinistrum 5 ¾” or 147.84mm. w/o Hollister. 1958 Collected on sand bar live buried partially in the sand at -0.5 low tide at night in Dec 1976. Sundial Beach Resort, Lee County, Sanibel Island, Florida. Collected and identified by: Melanie Briskin. This shell hasn't been collected live since the shelling ban of 1994.  

An F+/F++ Chicoreus (Triplex) brevifrons 3 1/8” or 79.15mm. w/o  Lamarck,1822 Collected under mangroves root in the sandy mud at low tide in 2010. Parguera, Puerto Rico Area.   

An near F++Murex  (Murex) tenuirostrum 4  5/8” or 114.19mm. w/o Lamarck,1822 Local Fishermen in nets from unknown depth. Central Visayas Region, Straits of Cebu between Bohol Island & Cebu Philippines.

An F++Murex ternispina 4 ¾” or 117.55mm. Lamarck, 1822-“Freak Spines”Local Fishermen in 2000. Luzon Island, Philippines.   

An F++ Chicoreus ramosus 2 ½” or 59.85mm. w/o Linne, 1758 Orange/Peach-Ultra-Rare. Diver collected at 20-30’ on dead coral. Laminusa, Sulu Seas Archipelago, Philippines. Another large fabulous orange dwarf shell that is just perfect and with operculum.   

Near-Gem/Gem Chicoreus ramosus 1 ¾” or 43.86mm. w/o Linne, 1758 Orange/Peach-Ultra-Rare. Diver collected at 20-30’ on dead coral.Laminusa, Sulu Seas Archipelago, Philippines. A fabulous orange dwarf shell that is just perfect and with operculum.   

Pterorhytis fluviana 1 1/2” or 35.25mm. Dall, 1903-Extinct  Collected in the Pinecrest Member (Petuch Unit 7) of the Tamiami Formation in 1987. Quality Aggregates Pit Phase#9, Manatee County, Lorraine, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 3.0-3.4 M.Y.A. Collector: to be given to the buyer of this fossil.   

A Fine/F+ Macrocypraea cervus 3 5/8” or 91.05mm. Linne, 1758-“Lovely Pattern” Collected by scuba diver at 10-15’ deep in crevices under rocks in the 1980’s.Big Pine Key, Florida. A lovely specimen but there are sand grains trapped under the dorsum and sand blister on the side of the cowrie. Atypical of a shallow water specimen probably attacked during growth on local patch reefs.   

An F++Cylinder ammiralis 2 ¼” or 56.14mm. Linne, 1758 Fishermen at 10-20 meters in 2009 Tawi Tawi Island, Philippines.   

An F++ Cymbiola aulica 4 5/8” or 117.62mm. Sowerby, 1825 “Blood Red Beauty. Collected by fisherman at 25-30 meters in 2000.Jolo, Sulu Seas Archipelago, Philippines. Super Superb color. Lip with only small abrasion at top and very, very minor growth line on dorsal area.   

An F++/Near-Gem Murex troscheli 6 3/8” or 159.24mm. w/o Lischke, 1868-EX-Large. Collected in nets by local fishermen in 1999. Bantayan Island, Philippines.   

Chesapecten middlesexensis 7 ¼” or 183.20mm Tall x 192.89mm. wide. Mansfield, 1936 Collected in the Cobham Bay Member of the Eastover Formation. James River, Surry County, Virginia. Messinian Miocene 5.33-7.246 M.Y.A. Collector: Unknown. A very large- superb example with the usual pin-holing and minor damage as show on the umbo. This is a matrix piece and is very heavy as both sides are attached. Rarely offered still intact this

An F+ /F++Epitonium scalare 2 3/8” or 57.03mm. w/o Linne, 1758 Trawled from deeper waters in 2016. Nha Trang, Vietnam. Exceptionally large very hard to get specimen. A true gem in a collection. Not offered with an operculum.   

An F++/NG Periglypta puerpera 4 3/8” or 108.89mm. Linne, 1771-“Large”Collected by Local fishermen in up to 20 meters of water.Sulawesi Indonesia.
