Globecphora parvicostata 23/8” or 58.16mm. Pilsbry, 1911-Ultra-Rare Extinct Collected in the Pinecrest Member (Petuch Unit 7) of the Tamiami Formation in 2023. Construction site lake being dug for a subdivision with permission. Sarasota County, Eastern Sarasota, Florida. Collected And identified by: Melanie Briskin. Extremely rare and normally found more east in the Kissimmee Facies.Some have been collected in the Macasphalt Pit around Apac in Sarasota. Complete specimens are ultra,ultra,ultra, rare. This specimen is really gorgeous with the exception of the missing tail section.
