Tequestaconus miamiensis 22.49mm. Petuch 1986-Extinct Rare
Collected in the Golden Gate Member (Lower Beds Petuch Unit 7 Equivalent) Of the Tamiami Formation in the 2000’s Florida Rock Industries Quarry, Naples, Florida. Piacenzian Pliocene 3.0-3.4 M.Y.A. Probably one of the rarer conus in the fossil record. This one is in great shape with the noticeable closely packed spiral threads encircling it. The usual lip breaks and nicks are common as these conus rarely lack lip damage.
